xpost - draft - why can't Spotify be programmed to "sense" multiple user profiles on Android so that

I wouldn't consider Spotify a "sensitive" app when doing something like using it's data among multiple user profiles.

Just to clarify, some apps, I *would* consider sensitive, and their data across multiple user profiles *should not* be shared. For example, Google photos.

A big reason for using multiple user profiles is for data segregation is to segregate/separate data between work/personal/chat/dating profiles etc. So, while Spotify wouldn't contain sensitive data, like, if the user *chooses* to sign into the same Spotify account across multiple user profiles on Android, there should be a Spotify setting that says "multiple user profiles" and "share data across this phones multiple user profiles if used with the same Spotify accounts so that downloaded playlists and podcast can be synced across the user profiles so that you don't have to waste data streaming already downloaded playlists or time redownloading already downloaded playlists.

What would be needed for this to come to fruition? An android API? Is it something that Google themselves would need to build into the multiuser function of android so that third party developers like Spotify could add the functionality of recognizing when a user wants to use an apps data in a multiuser setup if logged into the same Spotify account.
