This week I got some stitches in on my #thestitchersbookclub #SAL from #cloudsfactory I'm still way behind, but I might actually find time to catch up before the year is over.

And I finished all the little girl bunnies on #thebunnybunch pattern from #ElisabethHartmann . So know i only got the boy bodies left, and then assembling the whole quilt. Hopefully I'll also get that finished this year, as it will only take 2 or 3 good sewing sessions.

🐘 Ganesha ristipistoilla, 9,5x11cm. Malli nettikuvasta tihrustaen, jotain sinne päin. Aidakankaan palanen omista jämistä, samoin muliinilangat. Vihreä loppui ja vaihtui kesken taustan toiseen sävyyn. Norsujumalan kasvoihin olisin halunnut toisiinsa sopivammat värit. Mutta kyllä mä ton "patchin" laukkuun tai johonkin ompelen 😄

Joskus olis kiva kun vois ostaa haluamansa mallin, kankaan ja tarvitsemansa värit. Mutta toisaalta rahattomana tulee käytettyä enemmän mielikuvitusta ja pienennettyä kulutusta. Näillä mennään.

Worked on the wreath of my #crosstitch project. Emerald green thread for this part. I'm around 75% done with it. I've been taking my time to reduce the number of designer features.

I got some old some old cross stitch projects my great grandmother worked on from my mom. And the permission to do whatever i want with them. I don't want to ruin them, but I feel like putting some personal touches to them and not just put them in a boring frame that I don't like and then let them dust away in the attic. So im planning on making some ceramic frames for them and attatch them with crochet, sewing or weaving in some creative ways.

old crossstitch art that I've drawn colorful frames around. First is a cross stitch of some flowers. I drew an oval yellow star frame. It has spikes all around that I can use as hooks to sew the pieces together. I'm also planning to sew over the background to make it different flavours of blue.
Second cross stitch is a landscape picture of a church, a mall water and some trees. I'm planning a square green frame with leafy edges. The frame has holes in them so I can sew the pieces together.
The third cross stitch is a landscape picture of a red house with a garden close to the sea. I've drawn a red and black frame with spikes, picking up on the colors of the house and fence. Im planning to connect the pieces with crochet that will hook around the spikes.
The fourth cross stitch is a picture of a woman in a red dress playing the piano. Im planning a frame in pastel pink, blue and white, picking up on the colors of the curtains. Also its the trans colors. The frame has holes in it and im planning to connect the pieces with weaving, the threads also being pink, blue and white.

@Stitch26 @lemmy_stitch Oh that's interesting! You'd need a smooth surface for the suction cup to attach to, but yes, it does take up less space than a more common sloped stand. Not just useful for #Crosstitch but for #Crochet or #Knitting patterns as well, I think.
