This seems standard for cluing SATCHEL, even in harder puzzles. Not sure why in the latter, as letter count rules out any ambiguity (FEDORA, BULLWHIP) (discounting blahs like HOLSTER or FELT HAT).

Yet the only satchel my mind seems capable of picturing is Dean Corso's in The Ninth Gate. Of course drawing on Johnny Depp and Roman Polanski has become a bit dated.
