In honor of today, I made a thing
Eins muss man zu heute halt einfach festhalten: Softwareupdates, egal wie klein sie sind, müssen vorab eingehend getestet werden, bevor (!) man sie veröffentlicht.
Ich sehe nicht, dass #CrowdStrike das gemacht hat. Sowas MUSS auffallen.
Unternehmen, die sowas unterlassen, sollte man meiden.
Oder gibt es eine Erklärung dafür, dass dieses Desaster trotz Tests hätte stattfinden können? Ich lasse mich gerne belehren!
@Nazani the best protection is to have regular updated backups to allow reverting back to a working state. If your friends don't make backups then it is akin to driving without wearing a seatbelt! Most home users are unlikely to be hit by the current #Microsoft #crowd_strike outages unless using #microsof365 - all my systems have been fine today & are all fully updated / backed up!

Hhhmm... this is on the front page of a major newspaper ... will we get legislation now to impose penalties on untested software?
