I haven't done one of my #TodaysCurio posts in a while.
While at the Tate I bought this hand thrown miniature vase by #ceramicist #artist Yuta Segawa
I liked the shape of this one and the glaze is pretty flawless and consistent. They were all very skilfully made, very symmetrical and uniform. Very impressive for hand made ceramics.
Today's #curios are two small #origami cranes and I have no idea where they are from.
Someone must have made them I guess.
#TodaysCurio is a porcelain bird head I got from the #RoyalCollegeOfArt one year.
I don't know who the #artist is offhanded. I'll have to look it up.
But I liked this piece as soon as I saw it.
Today's #curio is a small flower fridge magnet made from a bottle top that I got from #PalestineHouse in #London
It was a free gift after me and my wife bought two mosaics by donating money to #MedicalAidForPalestinians

Today's #curio is a piece of rock. I don't know where it came from and I assume it's my wife's.
I don't even know what kind of rock it is. It's very light and full of holes, so I'm going to say it's a piece of moon rock.

My next #curio is this solid silver cigarette case that was given to my great half uncle from his work place, who flew a #LancasterBomber during the war which crashed (probably shot down) in the Netherlands, killing all the crew.
It has tarnished a bit so needs a bit of a polish.
I've collected a few objects and #curios over the years and the other day I was looking through them. So I thought I'd post a few here.
First up is a jig saw piece of the sky I got from the #YokoOno exhibition at #TateModern earlier this year.
Realized curios could be detected with a predicate, made bamboo usable as a snorkle.
