Das Griffbrett ist im Bereich der tieferen Töne stärker gewölbt als im Bereich der hohen Töne. Dadurch lassen sich Akkorde bequemer greifen und beim Solospiel die hohen Saiten leichter und weiter ziehen, ohne zu schnarren.
