I've been called cynical by my friends many times over my reactions to their 'inspirational' video links. I just have a strong dislike of going 'awwwww!' to something that's obviously manufactured or even directly involving animal abuse.
I was forwarded a video of a video where a crow begs for water, then the crow started showing up the film maker's door and eventually it came with another crow and they made a nest in their back yard and had cute little crow babies.
I just stared at the video in disbelief. It starts with an obvious raven, then shows a crow drinking water, then a very young crow with obviously in-progress wing and tail feathers and the telltale young bird beak. Then it cuts to a raven again until they show a crows nesting.
Am I supposed to be 'inspired' by this story? This is just one tiny step above complete AI slop or the horrible animal abuse videos where an animal is 'rescued' but it was shot in reverse order.
I think the umpire called that wrong on purpose #cynical
