Eldest kid lost her first tooth today. I’m experiencing many emotions.

First: happiness/sadness seeing my little girl growing up.

Close second: terror thinking of what the Tooth Fairy does with all of these children’s teeth.

Took a day off!

My body has been aching. I’ve been feeling run down. I took a day for myself.

Not a day for errands. Not a day to visit my doctor or parents. Not a day to get our cars fixed. Not a day to do yard work or fix up the garage.

A day for myself.

Drank my coffee without emails dinging. Smoked a Gurkha 10yr Cigar while listening to the wind rustle through the trees. Took a long hot shower, using all the massage features and not worried about saving any hot water for my wife and kid.

Going to indulge in a big sushi lunch and then spend the afternoon grilling dinner for the family while having a few beverages.

Me time!

CHAOS this morning as we received a call from our kid's school saying that the lunch program we occasionally pay for won't be delivered today.

I got the message after I already dropped her off at school as was already at the office.

Thankfully my mom is retired and lives nearby. She'll shuttle a lunch to her school.

Always unnerving getting a call from the school, especially since I'm now 40-50mins away at the office and not 5mins away working from home 🙃
