A bunch of snowdrops are filling the whole frame with the setting sun in the back lighting the flowers from behind. Only a few of the white flowers in the middle and to the left are in focus while most of the flowers and stems a little bit more to the back are out of focus.

Imbassaí is wonderful small village directly by the Atlantic Ocean approximately 80 km north of Salvador. The former indigenous village has become a touristic center in the region, due to its amazing location and beauty. It’s directly located where a river with the same name (Imbassaí) flows into the ocean. The river separates the beaches, which are located on an offshore island, from the land. That means if you’re on the beach island you can choose between the wild saltwater of the Atlantic Ocean or the calm sweet water of the Imbassaí river.

Paraty is located on the Costa Verde (Green Coast), a stripe of Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest) that runs along the coast line south of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The historic center of Paraty and several areas of the atlantic rainforest were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019.

In 1981 the Lençóis Maranhenses have been declared a national park (Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses) to protect and preserve this unique eco system.
