If you don't want to pay extra for AI slop, you're in the same boat as me. Shifting off Google isn't a trivial thing.

What is trivial? click the "unhappy face" on the email, and give them some constructive feedback. Tell them you don't want the AI slop.

Wenn ihr weitere DNS Provider habt, die in den Monitoring Test sollen, gebt mir gern Bescheid. Wichtig ist, dass sie DNS auf Port 53 bereitstellen. #PRTG kann leider kein DNS-over-TLS o.ä. monitoren.

I'm exploring Google maps alternatives for car navigation. Today I tried TomTom. First impression: pretty clear display, cool visualisation of events on route, but some of the map data is awfully outdated - for example, it shows a car park that ceased to exist years ago.

What other Android apps should I try? Live traffic info is a must-have.

Ich habe einen DNS Server Test gestartet, um den DNS Provider zu finden, der die schnellsten Antwortzeiten und die wenigsten Ausfälle hat. Letzteres wird sich natürlich erst über einen längeren Zeitraum zeigen.

Anyone got suggestions for (FOSS?) Linux & Android alternatives to Google Keep?

I use Keep for shopping lists, memos, aide-memoirs etc. I like that it syncs seamlessly. I dislike that it helps Google train AI, ads, etc etc.
Can be browser based. I do plan to get my own NAS going oneday but at the mo I don't have my own always-on storage. (except the phone which is almost never off...!)
