Professor Avi Shlaim, an Israeli-British historian, says that the Israeli dehumanisation of Palestinians "can lead to genocide".
Speaking at an event organised by the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians about the war on Gaza, he also says that western double standards have been "taken to a new level".
It was easier to locate the individuals in their private houses.
