Anybody else try CachyOS? This is my first Arch based distro I have tried. I’m loving this. I tried this after dumping Microsoft. It has become my daily driver on my desktop. I have also got it just like I want it. Installed a couple of Windows games and they are running great.

I deleted my Github account. Will work on other ways to sponsor projects.

I hope projects migrate off to places like Codeberg, before Microsoft requires everyone to have an account to download files, or implements a tiered payment structure. I figure its only a matter of time.

Auf dem Weg zum #deggogle #deamazon #demicrosoft und überhaupt raus aus der US-Tech-Fascho-Cloud frage ich mich gerade, wie ich meine ~50 über die Jahre gekauften #kindle Bücher behalten kann, wenn ich Amazon verlassen will. Konnte man die nicht mal ins epub-Format umwandeln und so auf einen anderen Reader mitnehmen? Weiß jemand, wie das aktuell funktioniert?

I finally got around to checking out @nextcloud. I can really see the potential here. I'm starting with a stripped down personal instance and will probably re-add modules and so on. I think the next part of my #degoogle #demicrosoft effort will be in creating a robust backup solution for my #Docker stack. From there I might also investigate swarm and so on.

Of course there are still many other things to do but I'm making progress getting off the tech giants as much as I can.

La parte peggiore/migliore del #degoogle , ma anche #demicrosoft , è l'esser tagliati fuori da ogni singola cavolata.
Esempio 1: non posso accedere con lo spid alla sanità perche si affidano a piene mani ai google play services;
Esempio 2: non poter accedere all'ambiente di lavoro da remoto perché si affidano a piene mani ai servizi microsoft, che non vogliono essere usati su dispositivi con permessi di root.

Insomma, anche gli aspetti più banali della vita digitale dipendono da sistemi US.
