Originally, I planned to print the large planter shell in just two parts at 35cm each. But for practical reasons, I later decided to split it into four parts. Adding the horizontal ribs for stability was necessary anyway, and smaller prints help minimize the risk of failures and warping.

These late addition of the splits is reflected in the part numbering and can also be seen in the Fusion design.

I love these palmette details on the doors of Alexander 'Greek' Thomson's 1856 Caledonia Road Church. I don't know if they're originals that somehow survived the fire which destroyed the rest of the church in 1965, or more recent replicas, but either way, they're a nice little addition to the overall feel of the building.

I love this detailing on the Scottish Legal Life Assurance Society on Virginia Street in Glasgow. Designed by Alexander Skirving, it was constructed in 1889.

Love these railings on Hyndland Road in the West End of Glasgow, especially the pair of dolphin fish and the little feet at the bottom!

A few details: What we're looking at here are 12 conical helices, converging with precision. The STEP files reveal the seamless geometries and transitions.

On a 200mm tall pot, the 12 interwoven spirals make one full rotation, aligning perfectly at the end with the start angle.

Glasgow Coat of Arms on brass finger plates plates on the doors of the city's 1907 Mitchell Library building.

I love how the one of the left has been worn smooth by more than a century's-worth of hands entering the building.

The right hand door also has a pull handle on it, so its finger plate has much less wear, meaning the original details are much more clearly visible.

I love decoration above this window on a Partick tenement, especially the two cherubs riding in boats being towed by swans! It's the little details like these which really help make Glasgow's older buildings so special.
