I can tell my horrible gastric nightmare may be passing off because I spontaneously cleaned my bathroom. That's a good sign, yes? (please!) Eleven hours seems quite long enough. I have no idea how many trips to the loo I made during this episode, but it was a lot. Cautious sips of herbal tea seem to be doing they should, proceeding in the correct direction at the proper speed. 🤞🍀

Good morning, all. How is everyone? My stomach decided to make me pay for pigging out yesterday, so I've been awake all night. I'm very tired and still a bit sick this morning, but I'm hesitant to try lying down again because every time I've tried, that made it worse. So I'm sitting here in my bed hoping it eases up soon and eating a couple GasEx tablets. I'd planned on making some phone calls today but now don't know if that's happening. Lol, phone calls make me anxious on my best days, and today is not one of those.

It’s a good time to learn about GERD, a condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus and causes heartburn and other symptoms.

GERD happens when the valve between the stomach and esophagus (LES) doesn’t close properly. Common causes include obesity, hiatal hernia, smoking, certain foods, and some medicines.

𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
