Synchronicity. That I should be reading "Brave New World Revisited" when the new UK online safety rules come into force.
I worry that requiring people to sign in to adult sites for verification may open a new avenue for data mining and profiling.
Also, who verifies and regulates the verifiers? You'd have no idea the origin or trustworthiness of the people you'd be handing personal data to.
The breach of the "Tea" app is a chilling warning of that.
