I used to fall alseep about everywhere before my medication and ability to accomodate myself. I still tell those stories in my comic sometimes...but there is a deep hurt in those memories. It just isn't safe thing to happen to you...and some people still ask me why I feel apprehensive when taking public transport with strangers.

There is, so much LORE to this fear.

Nia is sleeping on a mossy rock in a forest, wakes up yawning loudly, and rises up covered in sticks, dirt, and bugs. They are digging something gross out of their hat and thinking, "UGHH...how did you get in there?" Then they look around groggily, realizing that they are deep in the forest.

Texts read, "I can sleep ANYWHERE."
"Some may call it "a magical skill" to be "able to sleep" on a bed of moss, in a concert, or while talking to people."
"They are sorely MISTAKEN."
In the last panel the text reads, "Uncontrollably falling asleep in strange places might make a fun comic...In reality...I was scared, damp from dew, bitten by bugs, groggy, and still collapsed an hour later."

This is how Idiopathic Hypersomnia feels like - an overtaking parasite that doesn't let go. Unlike Venom, this one can't be tamed with chicken brains or chocolate...

Nia is slowly being consumed by a black gooby IH parasite panel-by--panel. First standing and their face is barely visible under its grinning face. Second they are entirely taken over. Third they are laying in bed and some of their hair is visible ubder the covers. And fourth where the parasite sits behidn their head, allowing Nia's head show entirely. Nia is looking at their goobed black hands with some sadness as sunlight creeps into the room.

Texts read, "I have a parasite. Not in the literal sense of course. It just feels a lot like it. It sucks life out of you and replaces it with endless sleep. My monster is growing stronger...will it ever stop taking over me?"
