Can't tell for sure what others were doing, but for my part #eurorack:

- sequencing is done with #endorphin.es #groundcontrol
- main drums is #endorphin.es #queenofpentacles
- bass is #noiseengineering #basimilusiteritasalter
- bass is going through #joranalogue #filter8 mainly resonant low-pass
- later in the recording (~11:30) you can hear #expertsleepers #distingex in multisample mode, with one of my own samples (filter 8 pings) going through #mutableinstruments #beads

Succesful vocoder messing about accomplished. Took a bit to figure out a good carrier to modulate: noise from Mother-32 doesn't seem to have enough low freqs for my voice.

Recently discovered the #DistingEX now runs Rings and Braids as single algorithms too! I didn't intend it to go that way, but now I'm fully equipped for some classical #eurorack ambient.

disting EX firmware v1.19 is released, including the Macro Oscillator 2 algorithm, offering four instances of Plaits which can be played separately or polyphonically.

It is almost literally unbelievable how often @expertsleepers updates the Distings, and even more unbelievable all this shit he manages to cram in there... The latest update added Rings firmware, so now I have a Rings, too. Insane!

After some re-shuffling of my #eurorack case, I think it's easier now to come up with interesting musical patches.

Here's an example #RandomLoop from today: it's an arpeggiated call-response. The main voice is a pinged and nearly self-oscillating #Filter8, recorded to #DistingEX. It's played arpeggiated and its ouptput is split in two paths, both meeting at a #Select2. The first path goes directly to the #Select2, the second path is processed by #Magneto, with a send/return through #tanh3. The output of the #Select2 then goes through #FXAid for some light reverb, and then out.

I really like the symmetry, musicality and structure emanating from this construction. I love that it sounds intentional :)

Ambient alert! Ambient alert!

Well, it has happened again, I went to ambient territory. I'm trying out my eurorack delay module #Strymon #Magneto and felt like it.

The patch has 2 voices, one is the #DistingEX in sampler mode playing the piano, this goes directly to #Magneto and then to out. But! #Magneto has a send and return feature, in which I'm plugging the my other #BBD (bucket-brigade delay) which is super noisy, and even whinny if you push it: 200% character, I just love this type of noises.

The other voice is the trusty #sv1b for bass duty, going through a very nice (and unknown) reverb/delay algorithm on the #FXAid and then to out.

Sequencing and clock comes from #PNW as one could expect.
