Dieser ganze neumodische Scheiß wäre um einiges besser, wenn er zuverlässig funktionierte #Bluetooth #Dlna

Übrigens: Wer im Heimnetz gerne DLNA nutzt, wird Hi-fi Cast auf seinem Android lieben.

Damit kann man DLNA Quellen und Senken beliebig verbinden. So kann ich beispielsweise etwas von meinem Plex Server auf meinem Yamaha Verstärker abspielen und dabei die Wiedergabe vom Handy aus steuern.

Oder Tracks von meinem Handy (lokal) auf dem Verstärker abspielen. Oder etwas vom Plex auf die Bluetooth-Kopfhörer streamen, die mit dem Handy verbunden sind.

Das Ding ist einfach klasse!

Bin mit #libreelec zufrieden. Läuft auf meinen Raspberry PI.

Dank UPnP+DLNA schafft er jetzt auch große Videodateien wie Dune in 4k von meinem Netzwerkgerät zu streamen.

bin aber irritiert das Linux so ein Problem mit 4k60Hz HDR hat, so ging es nicht ohne LibreELEC.

Bislang habe ich meine Videos lokal immer per SFTP vom Gerät gesteamt, ist leider zu langsam für meine neuen 4k Filme.

Trotzdem zufrieden, selbst Steuerung über TV Fernbedienung geht.

J'ai envie de quitter Spotify pour plusieurs raison (rémunération des artistes trop basse, positionnement politiques récents...). J'ai commencé a regarder les autres services de streaming mais pour l'instant aucun n'a une appli compatible #dlna pour mes enceintes. Des suggestions? Quelqu'un est passé par la ?

@duckyfella @MaliciousCarp Depends on the exact config and whether or not one just needs a stupid #dlna server (even the OG #RaspberryPi Model B can run minidlna fast enough to stream 1080p video with ease.

• There should also be some hardware transcoding stuff even on older #AMD Embedded SoCs with Radeon HD graphics.

As for other #Server tasks, the #fanless #ThinClients are perfect for offloading tasks like #Backups, #Filesharing and "#Homelab|bing" aka. doing some "#FuckAroundAndFindOut" - kind of #testing.

Dear @VLC_Android Devs, is there any reason VLC doesn't simply play a #DLNA folder consecutively like it would do for a local folder? I mean it enumerates the tracks, but then, in order to actually listen to an album you've got to jump through the hoops of adding the tracks to a playlist... #ux #vlc

I've spent the better part of the winter working on video streaming on local network and I have to conclude that #DLNA with #VLC as client is amazing.

Interoperable and cross-platform. Will post some screenshots soon.

Connected my new #WeatherStation to the Internet. Not that I need or want to but I wanted to try.
I should have known … this caused the printer to disconnect from the #network. Checked other devices and the television had stopped talking to the #NAS.
Disconnected weather station, … nothing.
Rebooted the router, which brought the printer back to life but music is now not working over #DLNA (only #AirPlay, which is rubbish) and the TV still cannot see the network drive.

A weekend project of mine that actually turned out really useful for me. I have a network player hooked up to my amplifier that streams music over #DLNA, and I've been using #minidlna to great effect for a long time, but one thing was missing. A way to scrobble my listens to #last.fm.

I made a quick #Go program to watch the minidlna log for streaming requests and send that to last.fm.

It was very fun to write. Maybe it'll be useful to someone else as well?

Also on #jellyfin this precarious projector dropped out at the 1:15:00 mark, but the video does not now show under Continue Watching. Is this a flaw with #DLNA control?

A #jellyfin question: on android, I select the #DLNA projector, play a video, and the remote controls show the usual play/pause, seek and volume, but from Ubuntu #Firefox there are no play controls and changing volume throws a stochastic fit.

Is this the fault of #Firefox or is the webapp just not there yet whereas the android app is?

how do i let an app in waydroid discover a Digital Media Renderer that is on the other side of a NAT? i can't modify the app but i could probably inject some firewall rules. or are there programs that rebroadcast the relevant packets?
