What happens if you don’t have a performance plan?
DOI revoked my agency’s rank-and-file staff’s performance plans last spring, presumably with the intention of reviewing them to make sure we weren’t hiding any woke. Since then, we’ve been working without performance plans and had to skip our mid-year evaluations. Management has told us that we have to have a performance plan for a minimum of 90 days in order for them to be able to evaluate us. We’re rapidly closing in on 90 days from the end of the fiscal year and still haven’t heard anything about getting new performance plans. So what happens if your supervisor can’t give you a performance evaluation? Are there any potential negative consequences? I’m already assuming that performance awards are long since gone anyway. Should we be worried?
