Fleuron chair by Constance Guisset for Billiani

**Dezeen Showroom: **French designer Constance Guisset has created the Fleuron chair for Billiani, which is informed by structural reinforcements.

The Fleuron chair references structural buttresses that reinforce walls through a grafted pad on the rear of the backrest.

The Fleuron chair takes cues from masonry design

The design counters this industrial reference point by employing soft lines and rounded edges.

The chair is made from a frame, seat and backrest, and is available in ashwood timber finished with wood stain, coloured stain or matt lacquer.

It is available in either plain timber or upholstered

The backrest and seat can be upholstered in a range of fabrics and leathers.

Ell washbasin by Agape

**Dezeen Showroom: **Italian bathroom brand Agape has released a freestanding version of its Ell sink, distinguished by a flat basin that's entirely covered by a grille to hide its drainage.

Informed by the writings of late Italian designer Bruno Munari, the standalone Ell washbasin features a pared-back silhouette consisting of only two geometric elements.

This involves a simple steel column holding up a horizontal slab, which unites a basin with a gridded surface for holding soaps and other accessories.

Agape has released a freestanding version of the Ell washbasin

"Inspired by Bruno Munari's notes on the design process in his famous 'Da cosa nasce cosa' or 'What comes from what', the starting point is the idea of simplification, which encourages us to solve problems by removing everything that does not contribute to the functionality of a piece," Agape explained.

"And what happens if a sink is placed far from the wall? In a simultaneously creative and rigorous sequence, the investigation proceeds by process of elimination and arrives at the pure essence of a washbasin – a horizontal line supported by a column."

The sink is covered by a gridded grille

Ell's basin and grille are available in a range of materials including white Carrara, Carnic grey or black Marquina marble, as well as white or black versions of the acrylic surfacing material Corian.

The sink's steel column can be powder coated in white or black to match.

Starck by Philippe Starck for Axor

Dezeen Showroom: designed by Philippe Starck for Axor, the classic Starck tapware collection has a reduced form intended to reference simple hand pumps.

The designer based the shape of the Starck faucet range on traditional water pumps, such as you might find on a farm, simplifying the shape to two intersecting cylinders crowned with either a pin or feather handle.

The Starck tapware collection is available in a range of Axor finishes

The goal was for this design – created 25 years ago but still just as relevant today – to focus attention on the water itself.

"The idea was to make a design that was deeply, structurally respectful of water," said Starck. "It's our life. Water is life. And there is a beauty in water."

The tapware was informed by simple hand pumps

The Starck tapware range has options for the basin, bathtub and shower, including a shower column with RainAir technology that cocoons the user in its mist and a touch-free sensor-activated electronic mixer for the basin.

The collection is available in a range of Axor FinishPlus finishes, including brushed red gold or gold optic.

The Rotonda candle holder is made of white and grey waste marble

Studioforma owner and CEO Alex Leuzinger wanted to create a design that symbolised the epitome of sustainability, beauty and nature.

He gave it a form inspired by the golden ratio – nature's formula for perfection – with eight cylinders encased in circular slabs.

Its circular, cylindrical forms are inspired by the golden ratio

The elements fit into each other and can be arranged as desired.

Turandot kitchen by Marco Bortolin for Oppein Home

Dezeen Showroom: retro and contemporary design meet in the Turandot kitchen, created by designer Marco Bortolin for Oppein Home.

The Turandot kitchen centres on a kitchen island, with a built-in dining nook on one end providing a cosy spot for breakfast or lunch.

The Turandot Kitchen has hidden details and lots of storage

To enhance the welcoming atmosphere for entertaining, an ice bucket is embedded in the adjacent countertop for serving chilled drinks.

Bartolin designed the kitchen to provide plenty of practical storage space while evoking a sense of slow living through curved forms and traditional details.

Curving shapes create a calming feel and retro look

"Kitchen trends are circular, which is why we are always looking for new ideas from old things," said Bortolin. "And I believe that retro is not about duplication, but about innovation."

Harmony collection by Muza Rugs

Dezeen Showroom: Kosovan brand Muza Rugs has reimagined ancient Albanian motifs in a colourful, contemporary style to make its Harmony rug collection.

The Harmony rug collection is guided by the women-led Albanian textile tradition, but with a simple and minimalist twist to the aesthetic.

The Harmony collection is inspired by ancient Albanian motifs

Co-founders Njomza Havolli and Fitore Syla, who also run the architecture and interiors studio Muza, wanted to recreate the feeling of an Albanian living room, which they say can resemble a small exhibition of folk art.

"As children, we remember our vibrant home with different colours, shapes, figures and ornaments," said Havolli and Syla. "Inspired by these symbols more and more every day, we wanted to reanimate these old forms in a different form and dimension."

The rugs are hand-tufted from New Zealand wool

There are seven rug designs in the collection – Hug Me, Love Me, Stand By Me, Keep Me, Walk By Me, Dance With Me, Smile at Me – all meant to symbolise harmonious living.

The rugs are hand-tufted from 100 per cent New Zealand wool and are each available in one of two sizes, 200 by 200 centimetres or 160 by 240.

Dezeen Showroom: designed by Baldanzi & Novelli Designers, Narbutas' North Cape executive chair boasts an elongated shape that is intended to convey sophistication and elegance.

The North Cape chair is recognisable for its distinctive backrest, which descends in a long, curving line and is patterned with horizontal seams.

The North Cape executive chair has a distinctive elongated backrest

The executive chair is the latest addition to Narbutas' North Cape series of office seating and won the Red Dot Award in 2021, with judges praising its "subtle silhouette" and "elegantly patterned padding".

"We didn't just want to give it padding. We had to create something very personalised," said Adriano Baldanzi. "We spaced the lines as if they were a musical rhythm and thus created a sign that was, however, of distinction in its simplicity."

The backrest is patterned with irregularly spaced horizontal seams

The North Cape executive chair is available with a choice of two types of armrest – either a rectangular upholstered style or plastic armrests.

The base can be ordered in either polished aluminium or plastic, and there is a wide range of fabric, leather and leather-look upholstery for the seat.

Edge bathroom collection by Jean-Marie Massaud for Axor

Dezeen Showroom: French designer Jean-Marie Massaud has worked with Axor to create Edge, which the German brand considers "quite possibly the most avant-garde bathroom collection ever".

The Edge collection is made using diamond-tipped tools from the space industry to give a level of precision that Axor says is unprecedented in bathroom design.

The Edge collection is cut using diamond-tipped tools for precision

The range includes several types of mixers for the tub or basin, as well as shower modules that offer up to five spray modes and precise control of water temperature and flow.

Designed to resemble sculptures of stacked rectangular prisms, the pieces are distinguished by their mirror-like surfaces, perfectly chamfered edges and fine decorative patterns.

It is made to look like a sculpture of rectangular prisms at the end of the tub or basin

"More than a mixer, each product in the collection is a jewel, a sculpture – a real, functioning piece of art that shares your intimacy for life," said Massaud. "That's my understanding of luxury."

The Edge collection is available in a choice of polished Axor FinishPlus finishes: red gold, bronze gold optic, black chrome or chrome.

Knight Tile flooring collection by Karndean Designflooring

Dezeen Showroom: UK brand Karndean Designflooring has expanded its Knight Tile collection of vinyl flooring with new finishes that resemble wood and stone.

The ten wood and 12 stone designs added to the Knight Tile range are all rendered in light to medium tones, which the brand says will complement a wide range of colour trends from neutrals to brights.

The Knight Tile collection has been extended with additional wood and stone designs

The range offers both glue-down and rigid core formats to suit different subfloor conditions, allowing for the same designs to be used throughout a building even if some sections have uneven floors or require acoustic protection.

The Knight Tile range also offers herringbone and chevron styles, with the latter pattern interpreted in a larger plank size that is quicker to install.

The designs can be mixed and matched with different colours and layouts

"Our latest designs have been influenced by our recent experiences and aim to support wellbeing and a sense of belonging with a natural look that connects our interiors to the outside environment," said Karndean Designflooring's commercial sales director Fleur Carson.

The flooring is hygienic, easy to maintain and slip-resistant according to Karndean Designflooring, and can suit different environments ranging from retirement homes to student accommodation and from co-living developments to hospitality venues.
