In diesem vierminütigen Film gibt es viel zu bewundern, von einer Variation des Rückwärtssprechens aus Twin Peaks (1990–1) über einen improvisierten Shuffle-Tanz von Lynch bis hin zu – in Vorfreude auf Twin Peaks: The Return (2017) – einer Reihe bezaubernder Chormädchen. Am interessantesten ist jedoch vielleicht Lynchs Anweisung, dass wir „unsere Augen auf den Donut richten sollen, nicht auf das Loch“. Das ist natürlich eine köstliche Anspielung, denn Lynch hat sich schon immer für Portale oder Öffnungen interessiert – die einen an einen unerwarteten Ort führen, an einen dunklen und schönen Ort.

Last night I finally got around to making fritters for the first time, and they’re delicious! I made raspberry fritters, and even though I probably didn’t need to glaze the bottoms of them, they make for a tasty yet messy treat 😋

Also the 2nd time in 2026 so far that I’ve set off my smoke alarm (gotta clean my stovetop heating coils!)
