Still on a series of cocktails.

In fact, it was more of a pretext to illustrate a Dracula parrot, because I think it really has a cool look, this little beast.

In addition to that, I give you a suggestion of a cocktail to try this weekend. Enjoy!

🌏 Dracula parrot (Psittrichas fulgidus)

The Dracula parrot, also known as Pesquet's parrot or Vulturine parrot, is large, striking bird with a unique appearance. They have a mostly black plumage with a distinctive red belly, uppertail coverts, and wing panels. Their most notable feature is their bare, black face and the relatively long, hooked bill, giving them a somewhat vulture-like profile. This adaptation is believed to be related to their diet of fruits, particularly figs. In flight, they alternate between rapid flapping and short glides, often soaring high above the forest canopy.

Conservation status: Vulnerable (IUCN 3.1)

Distribution: Endemic to the hill and montane rainforests of New Guinea.

Class: Aves (Birds)
Order: Psittaciformes (Parrots)
Family: Psittaculidae (Old World parrots)
Subfamily: Psittrichasinae (Dracula parrot)
Genus: Psittrichas
Species: P. fulgidus
