I've decided to start (over)doing my #drawabox. In spite of the requirement to exercise only 20 mins per day and "the 50% rule", I just sit and grind them for hours. I don't know if I'm ever going to improve my line quality that way though. My fineliner's nib died in a week from doing this, maybe I'm really too intensive.

The challenge consists in drawing 250 boxes rotated in different perspectives and "aiming" for the correct vanishing points. In the picture, besides the 5 boxes, there are vanishing points and lines following the edges of each box to calculate how much I missed each vanishing point.

This time a bunch of elipses.
Freehand drawing using the shoulder is quite challenging after years od using only my wrist.
I guess if you own a big Kamvas tablet display or something similar, you can benefit a lot from these excercises, otherwise i think many of us will keep drawing with the wrist or the elbow.

Does anyone here have experience with drawabox?

I was gonna start doing the course, but it's really critique-heavy, and seems like the cheapest option for the official stuff is €4.50/month with only one critique a month, and the second cheapest one is twice as much for, well, twice as much

It's probably not a lot in a vacuum but it kinda is a lot for me to pay monthly, so uh, is the unofficial community critique stuff any good?
