@privacyguides I think #LinuxMobile is the only real path forward for freedom.

Instead of hoping in #Google, it would be better in the long run if concerned users rallied behind #Linux options (mainline or #Halium-based), and there are quite a few now, existing and upcoming.

@dianea free open source software on my hardware is something more akin to #droidian and getting away from an android project that is dependent on Google’s aosp -with an uncertain future, also powered by google hardware.

Graphene has a lot of dependencies on google being generous and those gifts are drying up quickly.

We need to be supporting more TRUE open source solutions. More #linuxmobile options and focus is what we need.

@jonah Great to see that you touched on the #LinuxMobile option. I'm daily driving #postmarketOS on my #Librem5 and it's good enough to do most of what I need - the only thing does not work is recording sound in videos. Even running #FOSS Android apps using #Fdroid, #Obtainium, etc. on #Waydroid works, although the #LibertyPhone with more RAM and storage is better suited for it.

There's also the #FLX1 (runs #Droidian-based #FuriOS) which comes at a more affordable price, and Android app compatibility set up out of the box. I think that is more 'normie'-friendly and has decent specs overall compared to true Linux phones. Camera quality is as good as Android as it uses Android kernel and drivers.

Mobile Power Saver is a small system/user daemon designed to extend battery life on mobile devices.

So far it’s only been tested and actively used on #droidian . I gave it a shot on #postmarketOS, but since systemd integration there is still a bit rough, it’s not fully working yet (idle hint broken).

On my Redmi Note 9 Pro, with Mobile Power Saver running, I can stretch usage to up to 3 days on a single charge. (with some optimization in #ofono too)

Kurz keinen Bock und mit Stuhl zurück gerollt. Über ein Kabel gerollt. Kabel angeschaut, ist Datenkabel von Rechner zu Telefon. Telefon angeschaut.
Datenkabel in Telefon eingesteckt und Strom-Kabel raus genommen.
