Woman reads a book called Adolf the Wolf. Her shirt says “America first.“ She reads “and the wolf chewed up the children and spit out their bones. But those were _foreign children_, and it really didn’t matter.”

@Priyajsridhar
When did you read your first poem or had it read to you?

Before my dad started reading me Greek & Roman myths as bedtime stories, he read me Dr. Seuss. I loved them all!
My favorite was On Beyond Zebra--I was and am an animal lover. If I didn't faint at the sight of blood, I would have been a vet.

One time my dad served me sunny side up eggs with the whites dyed green with ham rolled up on the side for lunch. As a surprise.

That time in 1941 when Dr. Seuss satirized the fuck out of the “America first” isolationist crap.

I love Dr. Seuss' children's books. I had no idea he also made cartoons. Date: July 8, 1941

A group of men with exaggerated, oversized beards are depicted. The beards grow together and intertwine, creating a visual representation of unity among the men, who are portrayed as part of the "America First" isolationist movement. The men are shown in stiff, formal clothing, with their faces exaggerated in typical Seuss style. The connected beards symbolize their collective but misguided beliefs, and the over-the-top, comical nature of the image highlights the absurdity of their ideas. The minimal background keeps the focus on the men and their growing beards, emphasizing the cartoon's satirical message about the dangers of isolationism.
