(but also consider opting out of duckduckgo considering how they shove IA to users who didn't asked a thing. They only had to do a ai.duckduckgo.com to the ones wanting it and they didn't.)
Anyine else having problems with the mobile #DuckDuckGo #browser? For a few days now it's basically unusable. Slow. Doesn't load pages. Shows a white screen for a few seconds when I open a new page and even a page that is already open loads again for ages when I switch to another app for a second 🤔🤔

So the other day I was trolling the #AI chatbot on #Duckduckgo. It insisted it had no access to real time clocks until it eventually spat out the current time. It went as far as confirming (or lying) that the server it runs on is set to the CET. It accessed a couple websites in spite of it claiming it wasn't able to do that, and in one occasion surprised me when it correctly guessed what a link I provided it with really did, except then claim it couldn't access said link

Ich bin jetzt wieder zurück zu #metacrawler weil ich bei #google nichts mehr finde. Ich habe die Antwort meiner Suche weder bei google noch #bing oder #duckduckgo gefunden. Erst metacrawler lieferte.
Es ist für mich unglaublich, dass die Antwort auf selbst einfache Fragen mit mehreren Schlagwortsuchen nicht zu finden ist.
Ich habe es sogar mit umgekehrter Suche probiert.
Vor allem ignoriert google meine Frage mit „meintest Du…“ und sucht eigenständig nach etwas völlig anderem. #Internet

I try to use #DuckDuckGo as much as I can, but even now sometimes it completely fails to find what #GoogleSearch surfaces correctly.
Example: try searching for "bash safely safe and restore command line arguments" in both DDG and Google (I knew there's a trick for doing this, just couldn't fully remember it). The correct answer is nowhere on the first page of the DDG results, and it's the very first result returned by Google (and alas the AI answer at the top is also correct).

I finally got annoyed enough by the search widget on my #Pixel home screen continuing to search #Google with #AI results, that I took the time to switch to #NovaLauncher. It took me an hour or so to lay out all the apps on my home screen again, but it was an opportunity to declutter and reorganize, and now I'm using #DuckDuckGo everywhere.
EDIT: Warning: Nova Launcher is apparently going away. See the replies. *sigh*

Fui a buscar una cosa de Depredador en #duckduckgo y acabé encontrando un montón de #eastereggs , además de todos los monstruos clásicos también hay personajes de Star Wars, y quién sabe qué cosa más.

A intenção é se livrar, na medida do possível, de conteúdo gerado por IA; na prática, é um simples filtro por data automatizado.
OBS: No Google funciona normalmente, mas no DuckDuckGo (DDG) há um bug (exibe apenas resultados da data exata ao invés de considerá-la um limite). Já reportei para a desenvolvedora e na resposta dessa postagem deixarei o modelo de URL correta, para quem quiser criar uma search engine manualmente.

1. Ich suche nach "wheeping angels doctor who" Bildersuche
2. klicke ein paar Bilder an, Browser vor und zurück, nichts besonderes
3. In meiner Suchleiste steht plötzlich sowas wie (sinngemäß) "Wheeping Angels, the evil Aliens from the Doctor Who Franchise"
