Returning home from shopping at the home-improvement store, Dunkin' was on the same side of the busy street where traffic was moving slowly, so the stop was justified. 👍 ☕ 🍩

Iced coffee better then expected. Very good. The donuts, I'm starting to prefer Dunkin' over Krispy Kreme. Not usually said in this area, but as long as I like 'em.

The label on the coffee shows that Javen was there.

We went to a Dunkin' Donuts in NE Philly and there were these UV lamps everywhere? Is this common at Dunkin Donuts and similar establishments? Is this far-UVC, or old school ultraviolet? What is the exact technology being used here? Am I correct this is meant to kill airborne pathogens?

I'm so used to people not caring about infectious disease that seeing countermeasures visibly deployed in a corporate chain shocked me.

Across the room, a UV light is perched on the wall, slightly above eye level.

A closer look at a UV lamp, on a featureless gray corporate wall. It's white and seems to be directed towards the ceiling, but there is a mesh of holes in the metal cover that lets you see the lightbulb directly as well.

I don't usually buy Dunkin' coffee, but Javen (see label) was in there anyway and needed a bag.

Just had an absolute moment with the person behind the counter at #dunkindonuts . I ordered an #icedcoffee. They asked me what size and my confusion probably telegraphed that I was a "just #coffee " customer. They launched into the whole corporate mandeted questionair about flavours and toppings etc. Half way through they started giggling and I had to laugh too. They knew what I wanted, I knew that they had to ask and they knew that I knew. It was just really comical. I'm so grateful for all the patient souls who work any #customerservice jobs.
