When the kids and I visited #Eguisheim today, I remarked how curt and almost unfriendly Alsatians are (especially compared with people from #Provence). My daughter says, "Mom, they used to be part of #Germany, what do you expect?" It cracked me up!

Besuch und Wanderung rund um Eguisheim im Elsass. Ganz nett, wenn man solche Fachwerkhäuser noch nicht gesehen hat. Ansonsten würde ich es nicht unbedingt empfehlen. Von Touristen überlaufen und nicht wirklich gastfreundlich. Now know this region is famous for storks but had no idea before coming here; really didn’t know they were still around. Must read more about them, so interested now in human-stork relations
