New clock. Mostly epoxy. I added polypropylene fibers to the epoxy, but IMO in this case it turned out to be a bad idea. I glued bamboo toothpicks to the back to reinforce the stems. I filled in the numbers with (thick) acrylic paint.

I kept my workload low, to preserve my spoons.

Walnut clock cake with NicPro epoxy frosting. (Actually a clock face in production. Made of black walnut pieces glued together roughly in end-grain fashion.)

Having forgotten I had a bunch already sitting around unused, today I made two epoxy storage cups in Morandi colors.

An 8×8×½ inch mild steel plate, embedded in an ample amount of clear epoxy, with colorfully dyed small daisies mixed into the epoxy. Dimensions are roughly 8⅜×8⅜×1½ inches. Mild steel plates are what the Titanic was made of. :) But mild steel is really just a more modern equivalent of wrought iron, the stuff of blacksmith-made horseshoes. Here I am using steel merely to have a flat heavy thing available, and embedding it in hard plastic mainly so it will not rust very much. #epoxy #epoxyArt #epoxyResin #steel #mildSteel #lowCarbonSteel #wroughtIron

Another charcuterie board I made for the shop. This one is pecky cypress, a form of swamp cypress which has big chunks eaten away by fungus. I filled it in with Ecopoxy resin tinted blue, and finished it with a coat of polyurethane.

I made an epoxy jar and dolphin. I got distracted by household events and so though the resin was starting to heat up before I poured it. Thus there are a few more tiny bubbles than I should like. But not terribly many. And I did avoid trapped-air bubbles, pretty much. #epoxy #epoxyArt #epoxyResin

Something I cast in epoxy using a commercially purchased mold. I coated the mold with mold release compound, then dusted the mold with green, gold, and blue mica pigments. I filled the mold with epoxy resin I had colored black with mica pigment.

Make a candle, burn a candle. In a candlestick one had already made from epoxy. The candle is scented red cedar. The pith of red cedar is often a beautiful bright purple when freshly cut. Alas, I believe it is an ephemeral hue.

(Aside: if you want a wood whose hue improves with age and sunlight, I believe the classic is cherry.)

I wanted to clear clutter by using this epoxy item I made a while ago for decoration. So put a candle in it and place it somewhere. But I had no fitting candle. So I am making this one. Undyed soy wax with jasmine oil for scent. #epoxy #epoxyResin #epoxyArt #candles #scentedCandles

A white hexagonal-column silicone mold filled with molten yellowish wax, freezing to a white wax, with a flat wooden wick sticking out at top. Behind it a white silicone beaker with more wax (the leftovers). To its right, a purple epoxy plastic container or cup, squat and round, such as might be used as a planter or to hold such a candle. They are all sitting on a kitchen counter of brown and green mottled laminate.

I used a strip of black ash to finally wall mount (above the bathtub) the epoxy swan pair I made long ago. They are stuck to the tiny shelf with museum putty.

Black male and gray female bas relief swans, very stylized, absolutely uniform in color throughout (that is, they are "minimal"), in a "heart" pose. They are made of glossy epoxy plastic and are on a matte white painted wall background. They sit on a strip of light-colored wood that is screwed to the wall with two stainless steel screws that are deeply countersunk. The wood is glossily finished with a clear substance (thin cyanoacrylate glue). The strip is slightly above whit bathroom tiling.
