Just a long run.
Just a long run.
Solrød Rundt Løbet 2025 done.
A good and fast race around the municipality. 12k on roads and trails downhill and uphill through town, limestone pit, woods, and a field. Finish time: around 1:03:50.
It was warm, and it was fun!!
Edit: added a photo of me flying on the homestretch.
Solrød Rundt Løbet - the local 12k race - in T minus 10 minutes.
This is small, nice, and most well-organized annual event that happens to fit very well with my general training for the Helsingborg Marathon in September. Let's go!
A super easy easy morning run with @coachbennett.
Solrød Rundt Løbet (12k) in T minus one day.
#BridgeRun2025 done!
#Running across the Øresund Bridge was every bit as spectacular as expected. The view and just being there - truly amazing. Before we got to it, we passed by the airport with planes roaring just above us, and we raced through 4k of tunnel. The tunnel run was warm, humid, loud, intense, challenging, fun.
Throughout, I felt good and completely in control. My training paid off; I could have pushed myself much harder (but decided not to).
Ready for #BridgeRun2025, a half marathon from Denmark to Sweden across the Øresund bridge. The scene will be spectacular; I count on it to be a very special race.
My form is good. For almost four months, I have run a HM or more each week, so I am ready. But #running on a long bridge means a different kind of exposure to sun and wind.
My HM personal record is 1:52:42. I do not plan to attempt improving that today - but I do plan to enjoy myself!
An easy morning run.
These days, I'm missing the annual conference of the International Communication Association (#ica25). The FOMO is real, but there was no way I could be in the US right now. Not being there, however, also means I miss the famous #RunningWithPresidents run (organized by @claesdevreese) today. So I did it at a distance, connecting to my professional community.
The Bridge Run (21.1k across Øresund) in T minus two days.
Just another morning run.
This was a struggle. Stiff legs, low energy after a night of poor sleep, a cold that won't really go away, fingers itching to get back to writing that research paper on the journalistic job market 2008-2024 - there were plenty of reasons to not get out there today or to cut it short. But here we are: run done, and I am better for it.
Solrød Rundt Løbet (12k) in T minus 10 days. And the new "Mission: Impossible" film tonight.
Not all roads lead to Rome...
Solrød Rundt Løbet (12k) in T minus 13 days.
Veni, vidi, vici. Just did the self-organized 2025 Rome Sightseeing Morning Half-Marathon.
Hotel, Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Stairs (hard...), Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Castel Sant'Angelo, around the Vatican State, Bocca della Verità, Circus Maximus, Colosseum, hotel.
There are so many people and red lights that it felt like an interval run. And so many cobblestones it felt like a trail run too.
But what an experience!!
A soft evening run in wonderful Rome. I'm out of the city centre and in the Trieste neighbourhood now, surrounded by lived life rather than all the other tourists.
I'm in Rome for a conference. The Giro d'Italia finishes here today, so my morning run was the circuit around the city that the riders will do this afternoon (give and take a few detours plus a short visit to the Vatican state).
It was a nice and quite warm run, even though it was early, and I think I covered all seven hills of Rome. But without a doubt, it had the most beautiful scenery of any run I've done in a very long time, so I'm not complaining.
Major achievement unlocked on this long morning run as I completed the 191.46km I had set out to cover this May in support of The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Take care, people. Make the best of it.
A wholesome morning run with @coachbennett and Andy Puddicombe at the #NikeRunClub.
I am now only a little over 13k away from my goal for this May - namely to run 191.46k in support of The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Have a good one, everyone!!

Went out for a 21.1k run in Warsaw - only to soon realize that after two days of conferencing I simply did not have the legs for it today. So I backed off and instead just did a shorter (but still long) run in the light rain.
There is a good lesson learned from this. This is about #running. This is not about running.
An utterly random evening run around Warsaw.
My my, hey hey. Just another morning run.
A long and nice evening run. And in a moment, I'm engaging with "Warfare" in the local moviehouse. The weekend is off to a good start (for you too, I hope).
Good morning.
