Lots of camper updates, but (as usual) I neglected to grab pictures. I'll try to get some more this weekend.

In the meantime, I did grab a picture of the reworked tail pipe! Asenzi welded this up, and it looks fantastic. She shortened the original exhaust tip by about 6" and added a sharper 90° angle. This dumps the exhaust between the rear wheel and the heater module (see this post for more info on this: https://furry.engineer/@notthatdelta/114927089754465031 ). The OEM routing would have hit the heater module, and if we just shortened the exhaust at that angle it would have blown soot all over the heater module instead.

It's even a bit higher off the ground than the OEM positioning, so more ground clearance. Although we'll lose some of that when the frame is actually loaded down.

Exterior #bodywork wasn't in too bad shape (a few touch up repairs have been done over the years, there's usual stone chips but the #car had recently had a machine polish (I could tell by the residue left in odd corners!) and paint wasn't badly swirled, only needed a rinseless wash, a bit of hand polishing and a single stage machine polish on the doors and bonnets to get good results.

#Exhaust tips had been neglected, managed to make them a bit better with fine steel wool (the brillo stuff with soap) -- some chrome plating has flaked due to carbon being baked on still doesn't look too bad.

Also cleaned up inside of petrol tank flap (something I'm likely to be seeing rather a lot of as this car is a tad more thirsty than my last one!) #detailing #valeting
