Looking forward to going to Contact Mic (allevents.in/baltimore/contact) tonight at Wax Atlas in Baltimore, down the street from my house.

Just planning to listen tonight but maybe join in in the future!

GoH-793: Malísima - Rough Edges

Over an hour of unbounded experimental noise improvisations closed within fourteen pieces. A greatly sounding, attention-catching release from a prolific, talented Spanish artist. Just let this current carry you whereever it's heading.

One way to get more variety when transforming data into audio is to change the encoding. Today I'm implementing the VOX ADPCM telephone codec — which I especially like — in Rust to accomplish this!

PTSD playing at the Melt 'n Ooze festival at Wax Atlas, Baltimore. I didn't get to see much (parenting a four-year-old giving me an early bedtime) but was excited to see this pair.

I was recently gifted an accordion and this is inspiring me. There's someone else on here I follow who does accordion sound art who I wanted to add to this post but I can't find her 🤷

Also, if the performers would prefer I not have this recording posted, please let me know! I'm happy to take it down.

If you need any research done at the intersection of live music and tabletop games, please just tell.
It will be done freely as long as the results may be freely shared.

In principle, our #wiki is to cover ALL KNOWLEDGE about this topic (slowly but surely...) It's nice to start with details at least potentially useful to someone.

#musicEducation #musicTherapy #experimentalMusic #boardGames #ttrpg -- all aspects will be fun, even if at different levels of expected quality... ;)

New #review today: "Florentine composer #VittorioNistri, a lover of unusual and complex sounds, has built a creative path of more than 40 years. In this instrumental CD recorded with #FilippoPanichi, he ranges from keyboards to percussion, while Panichi plays guitars, synthesizer, and Tibetan bells." #ExposeOnline #ExperimentalMusic expose.org/index.php/articles/

ive spent a lot of this winter building this sampling instrument. it takes audio input and reconfigures it in various ways. it can morph between little micro-scores.
