πŸ’‘ Safety tip: Before picking, use Google Lens (or a reliable guide) to check which berries are safe for children to handle. Some are just for looking, not for touching!

If you'd like to try a spring craft activity with your child at home, why not have a go at making these flowers from old egg boxes? They can be cut in different ways to resemble different types of flower and then children can paint them their preferred colour and add tissue paper for embellishment.

Hapa Zome, meaning "leaf dye" in Japanese, is a printmaking technique where natural pigments from leaves and flowers are transferred onto fabric or paper by pounding them with a hammer or mallet. Simply sandwich some leaves or flowers between 2 pieces of fabric and bash with a hammer until enough pigment has been released to dye it!
