Blessed strawberry moon! It looks like it’s going to be clear enough and I made some funky strawberry mint vodka for the occasion. Eating fruity snacks from my garden while stargazing always reconnect me to the universe.

Anyone else here who participated in the Witches' Black Lent in March/April? The idea is to choose one of the seven "sins" and reclaim, research, and subvert them. This year I chose Pride and as May is kind of like Queer Pride month where I live (because of IDAHOT on May 17th), I wanted to share some of the things I made and did for the Witches' Black Lent. I always put lots of presents from and art made by friends on my altar. It makes it feel personal and precious to me. It's more meaningful than adding things just because they are considered witchcraft tools such as candles or athames (I never use those). Does anyone else do that too?

Tea of the day is heavy on the hibiscus, which is a sour cooling plant that lends a beautiful red color to tea. It's supposed to "feel like" 90F today and a bit of tart hibiscus is very very soothing for that.

The rest of the blend is some of my usuals--codonopsis, linden, wood betony, bit of elder hawthorn and schisandra berries. And some mint for an extra pop of chill.
