"When asked why he was not turning to new tax revenue, given the difficult decisions he described, [Gov Ferguson] said the kinds of new tax ideas Democratic lawmakers are talking about, including Scott’s bill, cannot bring in money fast enough to solve the state’s immediate budget problems."
Ah, okay, but those new tax ideas will bring in money, just not fast enough, so how can he make that an excuse to not consider them? Why not cut AND tax together?
