À mi-chemin, Flavien poursuit sa quête en Nouvelle-Zélande

Flavien se trouve à mi-parcours de son périple au cœur de la Nouvelle-Zélande. Chaque jour lui réserve une nouvelle épreuve autant qu’un émerveillement. Une tente montée sous la lune, un matelas dégonflé, des nuits à somnoler sur le siège passager... mais aussi des panoramas de fellfields d’une austérité poignante, où la lumière réveille les pierres et les fleurs alpines.

Loin des itinéraires balisés et touristiques, il gravit des chemins que même sa voiture ne peut plus suivre. Dans ce nouvel épisode, il partage avec simplicité ses rencontres avec des gens simples, des paysages nus, des silences qui parlent et ces moments de doute comme de grâce. Où chaque instant se vit dans l’intensité et le moment présent.

L’image invite au voyage, capturant un instant sur une route solitaire qui s’étire droit vers l’horizon, bordée de montagnes silencieuses et tapissées d’herbes dorées par le soleil. Par le pare-brise, le ciel néo-zélandais dévoile ses nuages vaporeux et ses éclats d’azur, comme une toile offerte à l’aventure. À l’intérieur, l’habitacle est baigné de lumière, le volant posé devant ce panorama sauvage, promesse de nouveaux départs et de liberté. Sur cette piste poussiéreuse, la voiture semble flotter entre deux mondes : celui du confort moderne et celui de la nature indomptée, invitant l’esprit à s’évader dans la tranquillité immense des paysages de Nouvelle-Zélande.

Był to spokojny i cichy zachód słońca. Kolory były niesamowite, zupełnie nieoczekiwane. Nasz dom stał pośrodku pola, więc mogliśmy podziwiać wszystkie otaczające nas góry. Różowe niebo za tą górą było po prostu oszałamiające.

The flying Clown of the Mountains

Keas (Nestor notabilis) are the famous mountain parrots of Aotearoa New Zealand. Ther are considered intelligent and playful and deserve their nickname as “Clowns of the mountains”.

These parrots have the size of and acts like a one-year-old child, and with approximately the same level of cautious handling of things in its environment. Add wings and ability to fly, and the result can be troublesome, or flat out chaotic.

It has a big beak, large claws and the intelligence level capable of ripping off windscreen wipers, wheel protectors, and decorative strips from cars. Or play and destroy with anything else they can get their beak and claws on.

Sometimes they do it to the cars of the people who for some reason decide to feed them. And sometimes those Keas most accustomed to humans might do damage to parked cars without any people in proximity. Out of boredom, or spite. Like them being annoyed for not getting more food.

Very useful, this bird yells its name to us. The sound it makes as it flies is a high pitched Keeeeeeaa, which sounds very much like a bird of prey in the mountains in the Nordics.

This intelligent mountain parrot is only found in Aotearoa New Zealand.
