The folded pink petalled flower of a clematis that is too late to flourish.
Soft focused leaves and stem in the background.

The bright red berries of the Hawthorn on a stem with leaves and more berries - plenty to feed the birds this year.

The last of the Mallow flowers with white petals tinged with pink and a purple centre. An older flower below and a fresh one behind enjoying the last of the kind weather.

A purple leafed cyclamen - always one of my favourite flowers - looking like little dancing fairies hidden deep amongst the other plants.

A couple of photos from our little walk this morning.

The bright yellow flowers of Common Fleabane. A group of three many petalled, daisy like flowers. Soft focused green and brown behind.

A Spotted Wood butterfly on a stony path. The butterfly has dark brown wings with several creamy spots. The under wing has two eye shaped spots on either side of the dark body. The ground is stony with some twigs scattered.

A couple of photos I took today.

A Venus Fly Trap Flower. Five white petals streaked along the length with cream. In the centre there are white stamen tipped with light red sepals. Two unopened buds behind and soft focused greens and browns beyond.

A mass of white flowers of Wild Carrot. Many stems with a clump of tiny white flowers at the end all surrounding the centre where there is one purple flower.

Une fleur de coquelicot, en gros plan. Fleur bien épanouie, on voit nettement les étamines (un peu séchées) et le pistil, qui a déjà un peu grossi pour donner une capsule. Fond vert d'herbes.

I love #comfrey #plants.
They're great for #PollinatorGardens, useful for making homemade #fertilizer, #NitrogenFixer plant & also a topical #medicinal plant(good to use for small bruises & cuts). It's a pretty plant in bloom. Propagated all my comfreys from cuttings.

Clusters of fragrant white lilac flowers.

Please forgive me that my #Florespondance has been so sparse of late. Much has got in the way of enjoying nature. Today I managed to escape to the woods for an afternoon to spend some time with the blue bells. Hadn't realised how much I enjoy a woodland carpeted with bluebells, and the occasional wild garlic. I returned to home feeling refreshed, and happy.
