I spent last week in #pei. Original plans had me doing couple of projects while there, but I just didn't come out of vacation mode. entire week instead was spent in laying on beach, eating lots of lobster rolls and fish & chips and in general having a grand 'ol vacation. Workshop has turned out really nice and although going from large detached home to 600sqft studio apartment will be hard, everything else about PEI makes up for it in spades. now let's hope this house sells so that I can fund build of our #foreverhome
also... one good thing that happned during my trip there... my contractor mentioned that he has a tracksaw there that he isn't using and I can use it for projects while there. turns out he had festool TS75 that he hasn't used in like decade. it was purchased for one project that required ripping 12' long sheets of speciality plywood. so now I am proud owner of festool TS75 & 2 x 75" long tracks ( FS1900/2 ). I guess I can't thumb my nose at festool youtubers anymore 🤣

Site for the home next to workshop has been cleared. Unfortunately I don't know how far out in future next step might be thanks to certain orange wannabe dictator. Housing market has slumped and I need to get my money out of existing house before I can continue this build. But it's a minor problem compared to what lot of people are going thru. I at least still have a job and roof over my head. This just means delay. That's all.

Had a long conversation with electrician today as he is starting the job of running wiring. I am going with surface mounted panel. workshop will have 200amps with another 200 amps going to the house once it's built. I will be pulling 2 cat6 cables thru conduit between home and shop. lots of outlets on the wall. each of the walls will have 2 x 220v outlets with each wall on it's own circuit. there are also 2 x 110v circuits on each wall as well.
Insulated garage door gets delivered next week.

Workshop progress..
Concrete floor got poured last week and this week siding is going up. Third photo is looking from workshop towards back of our property. The trees behind the ladder will be taken out since that's where main house is going to go.

Workshop floor is getting poured tomorrow. So our builder's crew hustled today to insulate the floor. So far looks like workshop being ready and livable by may is going to happen. It won't get used as my workshop until main home is built year after. But I am happy for any suggestions on things you would do if this was your shop. It has full bath in back corner so I don't track sawdust in the house but other than that, it's full open 600 sqft shop.
Wir müssen uns leider eingestehen, dass wir "unseren" vor 2 Jahren von der Straße im Ausland geretteten Hund (jetzt 4J, Labrador Mix) nicht halten können, da wir schon eine mit Tieren volle Wohnung haben. Schweren Herzens müssen wir nun dringend eine Familie für ihn finden. Er ist komplett geimpft, gechipt und hat einen Internationalen Pass für die Überführung nach Deutschland. Wir lieben ihn sehr und möchten ihn in liebevolle Hände geben.
Weiss jemand wo man hierfür Unterstützung erhalten kann? Unsere Reichweite ist leider nicht so groß.

We didn’t have the best start in life but it seems ok here so far. We’re scared of the hoom creature but she seems to bring food so it’s not all bad. You can tell us apart by the orange patch on Apollo’s face.
