After a rather stressful start of the year at my day job (cooking lunch for approximately 700 1-6 y.o.'s), I have had time and energy for taking a look at #pumoku this weekend.
The initial interface for the qqwing sudoku generator/solver is functional, so that pumoku can generate puzzles and check/solve userprovided ones. Qqwing has a rather rough grader, with only four levels of which the hardest may provide games with no singles to start with and up to pure guessing, so I have started fine-graining that a bit, and looking at adding some more details to the solver at some point.
It feels good though, it worked about as I thought it would, and I'm slowly remembering how to write C++ without too much (static_cast) grief :p

Logical pencilmark errors in #PuMoKu :D

(A logical pencilmark error is that a pencilmark is set for a digit that is present in either of the cells houses.)

The entire cell is highlighted, so you are still required to look around and figure out which mark causes the error. Displaying the error in the culprit pencilmark only is easy to do - do you think I should make that possible, or even default for displaying such errors?

How about a nice #sudoku game for #plasmamobile, nice with #kirigami ui, using your plasma theme? It is of course very much in prototyping stage, everything is qml - no backend - but it is actually possible to play it even if there is no checking - let alone fanphares - if you finsh a game ... :-)
Next step is adding support for pencilmarks, which is likey tricky.

I'm fully focused on mobile behavior, but it can of course be made to work nicely in desktop as well ...

Lots of progress with the #linuxphone tonight. After a rather fiddly procedure, I managed to convince #postmarketos to let me unlock the simcard, thank you @uvok for the tip. I can send and recieve calls and messages. GPS is appearently working, no fix yet, and no AGPS, and i didn't manage to get mobile data to work yet. But hey ... :D

So i managed to get #merkurocontacts and -calendar to actually connect to #nextcloud. The trick was to zoom the screen out, from 300 to 200%. Itty-bitty-tiny fonts, but then I could see the actual buttons I needed to press to save the config. The developers over at #plasmamobile has a few things to do before all of those apps are really usable ... However, This was a good progress for me since I heavily rely on nextcloud. I'd love to see the default phonebook use the nextcloud account as well ;)

IT WORKED - finally I'M IN!!!!
Installing the prebuilt images with fastboot failed, but resorting to pmbootstrap worked - so now I have a #oneplus6T phone with #postmarketos and #plasmamobile 6 on it.
I did order a simcard for it, but I haven't gotten that yet, so testing calls and sms must wait a few days.

How ever lots of things works - I can browse the internet with angelfish, look at photos, connect to bluetooth devices, record sound, play music, use KDE Connect, set alarms and use timers, view PDFs, use the shell and more ...

i can't use #tokodon (it freezes when trying to log in), so this is posted from my laptop, and my #nextcloud account configured in the plasmamobile settings does not work - no contacts or calendar events that way, or browsing files for that matter. #Okular shows a meaningful error message regarding files: webdavs:// fails. Not sure why #akonadi fails.

Slowly working on getting #postmarketos on my #oneplus6t. First step is to get it up to date for the sake of the firmware, which leads to downloading images from the default #oxygenos - and what a horror :o Not having lived in googleland for years, it is shocking how awfull using chrome and google search is ... Can't wait to turn it into a #linux #fossphone #linux #foss #plasmamobile!

Trying out the #kde #plasmamobile client 'Tokodon', in its android version. It works, but placing the cursor for corrections is difficult, I easily moves words by accident. It looks nice, but of course not native. I'm going to try #plasmamobile on a used phone, just to see what it can do at this point, even though it can probably not yet be a daily driver. I spent a bit of time making sure everything was backed up via DecSync CC, Syncthing and Seedvault as it was a bit out of date and I've never done a major update on it before (... I've been putting it off).

Turns it all went smoothly and all of my data was retained 👌

This thread will be about my experiments with my new #pinePhonePro.
I got it yesterday and had a few minor hurdles out of the gate. I followed instructions on the wiki but couldn't get it to boot into #sailfishOS. I don't remember what I did differently but after a few attempts it booted fine. I immediately wanted to replace sailfish but first checked that sms and calls worked fine and it did (though took a while to receive the first call).
I flashed #postmarketOS with #PlasmaMobile to an sd card and tried booting from it but quickly realised I had missed a step ​:shinx_facepalm:​. The wiki said I had to install #towboot to the SPI so I did that. After following the instructions properly this time I installed the OS successfully. I found Plasma extremely sluggish and unresponsive so quickly moved on. The next OS I flashed was postmarketOS again but this time with #sxmo and I immediately fell in love with the interface.
After that I went to sleep as it had been a long day and was getting late. This morning I flashed postmarketos with sxmo to the eMMC and will be tinkering with it today. Ill update this post with comments about my progress.

With these new base stations monitoring functions in the baseband userland, one could setup and fine-tune their own "IMSI-catcher catcher": record and log unusual base stations popping in and out of selected locations... super interesting!
