Not even that cold. Barely passable

Smiling beared guy in a mustard puff jacket and green toque. Classic selfie shot with buildings and snow in the background. Some ice visible in the beared and bike racks in the distance.

Lots of #HairIce (aka #FrostBeard) during yesterday's #photograpy walk.

A tree trunk in mossy surroundings with "hair ice", which looks like white hair is growing on the bark. The same trunk from a different angle.

Another photo from our walk this morning. Although it's supposed to be rare, we frequently see Hair Ice during the autumn or winter. I guess we consistently have the correct conditions.

In 2015, it was found that it was produced on trees with the fungus "exidiopsis effusa".

Although we see it every year, I hadn't come across such a large spread before.
