Do celów prywatnych już prawie 2 lata używam tylko i wyłącznie Organic Maps. Na telefonie służbowym trzymałem jeszcze aplikację map od Googla, bo czasami niektóre remonty czy objazdy sprawiały, że radziła sobie lepiej.
Niedawno zaczęło mnie irytować, że na mapie pokazywane są reklamy obiektów, które mijam, ale że rzadko korzystałem z tej aplikacji, jakoś to przebolałem. Za to aplikacja natychmiast zniknęła z mojego telefonu po tym, gdy jechałem na serwis do Wrocławia i pojechałem pod zły adres, ponieważ na pierwszym miejscu zamiast adresu, który wpisałem, pojawiła się reklama innego miejsca i omyłkowo pojechałem nie tam, gdzie trzeba.
Czy gdybym był uważniejszy, zauważyłbym, że to reklama? Oczywiście że tak. Ale szanujmy się, coś takiego nie powinno mieć w ogóle miejsca! Więc od tego tygodnia już oficjalnie nigdzie nie używam map Google.
Today, I discovered yet another extension which is similar to AdNauseum. It also takes revenge on annoying ads and trackers like AdNauseum but in its own ways. I was planning to download and use this extension along with uBlock Origin Lite on my Cromite since AdNauseum was banned from Chrome Web Store... But I couldn't find it too on Chrome Web Store. I just watched a short on YouTube (of a scene from a sitcom) and it looked like it was posted by someone using video filters for the first time. Unwatchable.
And it turns out that YouTube is unilaterally doing that to people's content in order to make videos "better".

Ordered a refurb Samsung S20 FE from Newegg, arrived today. I question the "Grade A - Excellent" rating that Reebeio gave it. Has mars all around the edge of the case and the back. Also has what looks to be a pressure crack in the back panel next to the cameras, like someone sat on it while in some kind of protective case and just put enough weight on it to crack the phone case a tiny bit.
However, the screen looks perfect and it powers on and boots to initialization mode no problem. So, meh. The protective case I got is aluminum from the same "LOVEMEI" "brand" that's currently on the Samsung A32 I've had for almost 3 years. That case more than doubles the weight of the phone, but the flip side of that coin is I can literally hurl the phone into a wall at decent speed and it just bounces off.
I'm going to wait for that case to get here before I attempt to put LineageOS on the phone. Cause I know me. I'm way too good at breaking shit. Hoping Lineage doesn't give me too much hassle besides apparently needing Windows to actually install it, lol. For once in my life, I'm glad I have a Windows machine available. Assuming it works, that'll be the first big step in De-Googling my life as much as I can manage.
