Speaking to Sky News, Green MP Sian Berry lambasted the government over their failure to learn from the planning process:

What was the point in them engaging with this month’s long planning process… and some fierce conditions out of the recommendations from the examiner only for the Secretary of State to spend months in secret meetings with Gatwick Airport, discussing these conditions and finding a fudge on every single one.

I’m outraged by this, and it really shows that this Labour Government is no kind of green government, and in many ways worse than the Conservatives.
