@husjon I have a Pi5 that boots from a USB SSD and has a #geekworm x1001 nvme "adapter" with a kingston 500GB NV2 drive. I haven't noticed it getting over 55-60 when i push it. It's in a geekworm P579 case and has the Pi active cooler fan (highly recommended btw). #raspberrypi
Has anyone tried yet to use #geekworm SATA 3.5" adapters together with their X1004 dual-nvme on a #raspberryPi5?
It feels like 2x3.5" SATA + 2xNVME should be possible, I'm just wondering about the power supply. 😆

For those who think this would be a great UPS as they write in the name, then forget about the UPS future.
According to the tech support so is not possible to read battery status by software and it can not safely shutdown by it self.
When you order it to shutdown you must hold in the powerbutton for about 3 sec before it turns of.
If you have stable powersupply with shorter interupt, like up to a 3 hours then this might work as some safety for the system

@dhrystone Interesting, since I just did the same with one of my Pis (#Flirc to #geekworm). Did it so I could have a Pi4 with GPIO pins exposed
Switched out the #RaspberryPi #FLIRC passive cooling case for a #Geekworm armor case, also passive. Wow. Difference in temp is impressive. Running overclocked (overvoltage 4, arm_freq 1900) and idle at ~53°C right now, other case had it at high 60’s. Will be interesting to see how it performs at load. And yes I know active cooling is better. It’s also mechanical, and louder. 🤷🏻♂️
