Innecesaria extensión de la saga, algo caótica y simplona, que, pese a todo, entretetiene a los fans que agradecerán los cameos de los originales cazafantasmas.
No soy el público objetivo de esta película, por lo que es posible que a otro tipo de espectador le resulte estimulante, pero a mi me ha parecido lejana del referente original que, por otra parte, nostalgias a parte, tampoco era una obra maestra. Pero la mano de los Reitman se notaba, cosa que aquí no sucede. Su director, Gil Kenan, ya patinó con su revisitación a Poltergeist y cuenta con una carrera poco estimulante.

Um direkt die offensichtlichen Wortwitze aus dem Weg zu schaffen: Der Film hat mich komplett kaltgelassen und ging mir gleichzeitig unfassbar auf den Geist.

Es ist wahnsinnig uninspiriert und ermüdend, dass dieser Film ein Film für alle sein will und deshalb ein Film für niemanden ist. Aber die Ghostbusters von damals™, die neue Familiendynamik und eine Handvoll quirky Nebenfiguren mit all ihren Eigenheiten unter einen Hut zu bekommen, ist ein aussichtsloses Unterfangen.

Das Festhalten an der alten Dynamik hat sich überholt. Die PG-13-Familie, für die „what the fudge“ gesagt wird und in der Carrie Coon und Paul Rudd eine eher freundschaftliche als von gegenseitiger Anziehung geprägte Beziehung führen, wirkt angesichts dessen total deplatziert, dass die quirky Nebenfiguren dann Witze über einen „cool sex dungeon“ machen.

Die Bilder sind ein einziger großer Callback zu Ivan Reitmans Filmen und damit ein unendlich schwerer Klotz am Bein. So bleibt dem Film nichts anderes übrig, als auf der Stelle zu treten. An Vorwärtsmomentum ist einfach nicht zu denken. Es gibt keine Vision, nur ein verwässertes Erbe, das offenbar einfach nicht losgelassen werden kann.
