I don't know much about #GlennGreenwald. But I do know that sex is a normal thing for people to do, and I know that it's completely consistent and expected that #Israel would try to smear even its mildest critics by releasing a tape like that.

Apparently this book #Owned argues the tech billionaires indirectly bought #GlennGreenwald and #MattTaibbi. Maybe. I do think media ownership always influences the content. And also that creators come to recognize how to shape their content to get popular with different crowds. Glenn acusa a esquerda de ser servil a Alexandre, ignorando divergências do passado. Pois é…
Tudo tem de ser visto no seu tempo. Se o ministro, dentro das regras do jogo, enfrenta os fascistoides e golpistas, nada há de estranho em tal apoio.
Se Glenn vê nisso uma incoerência, ele próprio é personagem de uma contradição que lhe parece condenável.
Quando o bolsonarismo tentou chutá-lo do Brasil — numa mistura de autoritarismo, ilegalidade, xenofobia e homofobia —, Glenn recebeu o apoio unânime das esquerdas, que ele agora ataca.
Parece um empate de contradições, mas não é. Explico:
1: a esquerda era, sim, hostil a Alexandre e hoje apoia muitas de suas decisões pq ele enfrenta os neofascistas;
2: Glenn, antes apoiado pelas esquerdas contra as ameaças neofascistas, hoje está em campo oposto e alinha suas posições com os que queriam expulsá-lo ou prendê-lo.
Como se nota, nos dois casos, há, na verdade, coerência dos progressistas. Quem precisa explicar suas novas e más companhias é Glenn, não a esquerda.
A propósito: Glenn revela uma alma, digamos, algo colonialista em relação ao Brasil: toma as leis de seu país de origem como universais.
E, também no seu caso, é uma sorte que não seja. Nos EUA, um episódio como o dos hackers poderia lhe render cadeia por “contempt of court”.
No Brasil, tentar golpe de estado pode render processo e cadeia — para jornalista ou não.
Mas jamais um jornalista será ameaçado por não revelar sua fonte. Moro, hoje aliado de Glenn, bem que tentou. Mas as esquerdas, hoje inimigas do buliçoso e belicoso jornalista americano, denunciaram a ameaça ilegal.
Glenn precisa parar com essa mania de achar que está aqui para “civilizar” os nativos.
No que respeita à defesa da democracia, os EUA têm muito a aprender com o Brasil contemporâneo, não o contrário.
Desde que saiu do Intercept, Glenn tenta encontrar por aqui um lugar no mercado das ideias. Até agora não conseguiu nada além de ser linha auxiliar do bolsonarismo, que queria expulsá-lo do Brasil e chegou a acusá-lo de fazer parte, com o então marido, de um complô para conseguir uma vaga na Câmara.
A esquerda é coerente quando apoia hoje um Alexandre que esquerdista nunca foi. Incompreensível é que Glenn tenha encontrado um abrigo no peito daqueles que essencialmente o odeiam.
Mas aí, na hipótese benevolente, é com Freud, não comigo.
E na hipótese “não benevolente”? Aí é matéria para o jornalismo investigativo.
