Michigan are legit STACKED now . Anything short of Final Four will be a bust for the Wolverines . Oddsmakers are aware though . Looking at odds now they are 5th choice to win it all at +1500 #GoBlue
In 2011, The Detroit News interviewed 12 former Michigan players about Ohio State’s “Tattoogate” scandal.
Each were asked if the scandal had tainted Ohio State’s decade-long run of dominance.
11 said yes, each ripping the “immoral” and “corrupt” Buckeyes in their responses.
1 said no, and passionately defended the legitimacy of their rival’s resounding reign.
Mike Hart - still Michigan’s all-time leading rusher by over 500 yards - went to bat for the Bucks.
He could have been bitter.
Hart went 0-4 vs. Ohio State, averaging only 65.5 yards per game in 4 starts.
Often brash and prodigiously vocal, his humbling became a source of mockery in Columbus.
4 years of losing and 4 years of Buckeye taunting later, Hart had their backs.
Every other Wolverine on record had crushed Ohio State for their tattoo mishap. Most dismissed the legitimacy of the Buckeyes’ long run of success in the years preceding the scandal.
Mike Hart thought it was all nonsense.
He argued OSU’s success would only be tainted under 2 conditions:
1. If Jim Tressel had paid high school recruits to attend Ohio State, or otherwise materially violated the recruiting process.
2. If Ohio State’s violations involved on-field cheating in games.
In Tattoogate, Buckeye players had been busted for trading their own goods for services.
They weren’t recruits induced by impermissible benefits. They were enrolled students, already playing for Ohio State.
More importantly to Hart, the Buckeye violations were not related to on-field cheating.
“Selling their stuff for tattoos isn’t making them better players on the field,” Hart said.
“There wasn’t any cheating on the field.”
Hart conceded the Buckeyes broke rules, and had to be punished.
But because their violations did not lure players to the school and did not involve cheating on the field of play, the Buckeyes’ success was pure and untarnished.
Mike Hart was the only Wolverine defending Ohio State in 2011.
He knew the Buckeyes were clean.
And that the only programs with tainted titles are those who cheat in recruiting or on the field of play.
………
In August 2024, Jim Harbaugh was issued a 4-year show cause by the NCAA for multiple recruiting violations.
In June 2025, Michigan will attend an Infractions hearing to litigate a separate, unrelated, years-long scandal involving cheating in games.
To date, Michigan football staffers from 2021-2023 have already been fired or suspended on 10 separate occasions for these scandals.
We're just 100 days away from kickoff!
Here we are, the day after. I am sad for the #NHLJets family today and truly hoping Mark Scheifele is able to get home to grieve and eventually find some peace. It was absolutely gutting to see the post-game stuff he and his team had to endure last night.
On a totally different and somewhat selfish topic, my calendar has been cleared and is now ready for #CFLOM! The first preseason game is Monday, the 2025 #BlueBombers take to the field against SK next Saturday.

What's going to ultimately happen when the NCAA concludes its investigation into Michigan? Could they really strip wins or even the National Championship?

Got to the bottom of why Michigan felt the need to suspend head coach Sherrone Moore for games 3/4 of next football season with the ESPN senior writer:
