I set up the Sceptre of Min today to record the voice of the goddess #Hathor. I made offerings and solemnly asked for guidance. I made sure the recording apparatus was running at the solar zenith here. The device is a crystal powered antenna. The goddess gave me the design in a recent trance. I hope there is a message on the recording. I'll report if there's anything there.

Did you know Tefnut’s tears were said to have given birth to the very first humans? After she and Shu fled as lionesses into the desert, their reunion with Atum unleashed such relief that their weeping formed the Nile’s first waters, and from those sacred drops sprang humankind.

~ Maat~

Maat (mah-aht) is the personification of the rule of law, bringing order to the cosmos, Earthly cycles, and society. The images of Pharaohs would often be decorated with Maat’s symbols - like the Ostrich feather - to imply that the ruler was fair and just.

An illustration of a woman with a red band around her head is on the right. An ostrich feather is tucked into the band. She is wearing a red linen dress and is holding an ankh and a scepter. The style of illustration is like that of Egyptian paintings, and a faded wall of hieroglyphs is in the background. The text on the left includes Egyptian goddess Maat/Ma'at's name in hieroglyphs, then explains a portion of her symbolism and importance in ancient Egyptian culture as well as her potential strengths as an ally.
