A typical "hatter" hut in the bush. Ross Gold Fields of yesteryear. Again, DOC have earnt their funding by building tracks and bridges into an historic area left abandoned long ago.
No one is sure why they were called hatters. One theory was the inhabitant bathed with his hat on.

Pink granite with almost geometric, almost rectilinear cracking, appears to be making its way out of a cloak of dark grey, irregularly shaped granite. Beneath are brown fallen leaves & green weeds, while beyond is a sparse canopy of Eucalypts.

An ancient piece of wood - possibly once the fork in a tree trunk - is deeply etched by wind and weather. Each line of relief appears random, yet very closely related to its neighbouring lines.

The pale brown, tattered remnants of an old, hollow log appears to hover above a bumpy, grey granite outcrop. Beyond is Eucalypt scrub.

Once again, it is rectilinear shards of granite partially embedded in a much more amorphous granite boulder. The rectangular stone is pinkish, and the boulder is grey with splotches of white and green lichen.
