A modest annoyance with my current #Debian and #KDEPlasma6 setup: the #AmateurRadio apps change to the default audio source when the computer wakes up, rather than the otherwise unused motherboard audio I have configured.
So if #gqrx and #wsjtx are running when the PC goes to sleep, it will resume upon waking--but via my main audio interface. I have to manually change it and change it back for it to work properly again.
(I don't actually want #ft8 tones through my studio monitors.)

That's a stupidly low noise floor on 17m this morning. #FT8 coming through just fine from up and down the east coast (about 650-900 miles away) (so far)
My take over the last 24 hours using an #AirSpy DiscoveryHF+ receiver and a YouLoop magnetic loop antenna mounted to the wall of my apartment.
Mostly 20, 10, and 40 meters.
#gqrx is not quite as polished as #SDRsharp on Windows but it reads my Discover HF+ just fine, and can be controlled by #WSJTX. It took me a while to get the settings right.
And unfortunately it's set up right now using my nice studio audio interface to pipe audio from one to the other. Once I switch it to something else, I can have this decoding full time in the background and still play games and do music and whatnot.
@electragician be warned: rabbit hole ahead. Have fun.
You might want to have a look at #SDRPlusPlus. I find it easier to use and more pleasant to look at than #gqrx.
Also have a look ad #SDRAngel. That has some handing tools inbuilt to decode packet/aprs, adsb and many other digital signals.
Oh man, I feel a new hobby coming on.
I picked up a RTL-SDR V4 a few days ago, and I’ve been exploring the radio spectrum with the antennas that came with it. Software defined radios are pretty fun!
I may have contacted the local amateur radio club today, and I may have also ordered the study guides to get me all the way through my General Class License.

Someone / something is (intentionally?) jamming the whole #ISM433 band, and consequently, the #70cm #hamradio band.
That's horrendous and totally illegal.
