Pretty good range of peppers at the grocery stores in east Los Angeles, but these didn’t look like any of the ones I typically see. They were of course unlabeled. The clerk said they were fresnos but that seemed incorrect to me. by aldentre

Aside from the missing avocado, I was surprised the recipe included garlic and lime juice, ingredients that never appeared when my parents made it when I was a kid. They used Diana Kennedy's books as the authority, though I omit tomatoes because if you have leftovers the guacamole gets ruined. Rick Bayless' Mexican Kitchen (1992) calls for garlic, which to me is just plain wrong if not a crime, so I wonder whether he's to blame for the trend. I use a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9 system as a cloud based development workstation.
The system is running on Proxmox VE and is running Apache Guacamole (https://guacamole.apache.org) as a clientless HTML5 remote access gateway.
I can simply access the system from any HTML5 capable web-browser and have my desktop with all the tools, I need to do some work.
(Of course, for security reasons, this is behind a strong MFA authentication)
